Research

PhD in Physics: Project Title: Arrays of nanoscale dots and wires of novel ferromagnetic materials


PhD in Physics: Magnetic anisotropy of La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 (LSMO) thin films, nanowires/nanodots .


Has carried out research on Magnetic nanocomposites based on Maghemite at Cochin University of science and Technology, Cochin, India. • Period: January 2002 – April 2003.

Area of Specialization
  • Thin film growth and characterization: Half-metallic Manganite Oxide thin film deposition and its structural and magnetic characterizations using advanced techniques.
  • Advanced Optical lithography (Laser Interference lithography (LIL)): Nano-fabrication technologies; novel physical phenomena in magnetic materials with shrinking dimensions; dry etching technologies.
  • Nanoscale Characterization: Understanding the surface science and materials physics at the nanoscale using Scanned Probes; Magnetization reversal in magnetic thin films using magnetic force microscopy.
