The National Cadet Corps (NCC) aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline and a secular outlook. The NCC is a responsive, learning and continuously evolving organization. NCC provides an environment conducive to motivate young Indians to join the armed forces. Its activity is guided by certain Core Values that we endeavour to instil among all ranks of the NCC.
These include the following:
The NCC Army wing unit of K E College, Mannanam comes under 16 Kerala Battalion, Kottayam. There are currently 107 cadets in the unit. The unit is lead by Associate NCC Officer Capt. Jobin Varghese P. The cadets do appreciable participation in all activities of the College with great responsibility. They are also actively involved in all social service activities like blood donation, disaster management, Swatch Bharath etc.
NCC helps in the overall development of the cadets. It also induces a spirit of comradeship and oneness among cadets, which persuades them to provide support among them during needy situations. The cadets are getting ample opportunities to attend various National and International camps like RDC, EBSB, Adventure camps, Trekking, CATC, YEP etc. Regular Parades helps the cadets to improve their personality, time management skills and discipline of life. The cadets are eligible for grace marks from the university during their graduation level. They also get weightage when they apply for higher studies. The NCC cadets have abundant chances to get placed in Major forces of the country-Army, Navy, Air Force and in various other uniform services.
