KE College Photography Club intends to promote creativity through photography, to share and critique the photographs of peers, to educate and improve technical skills, and to spread the love of photography throughout the student/faculty fraternity.
- Conduct an in group critique of photographs that members have taken at least once a month. This helps members of the club receive and administer constructive criticism in a positive environment, and encourages improvement of photography skills.
- Conduct at least one photography-related training/interactive session per semester. This gives the members of the club an opportunity to fine tune their photography skills with the help of the mentors.
- Promoting photography throughout the campus. This can be done by posting pictures taken by the club around the campus to demonstrate the photography skills of the members of the club while simultaneously advertising for more members to join.
- Regularly updating the photographs of the members in the instagram handle of Photohawks
Photography is much more than just having a camera and taking pictures. Students in this club have opportunities to hone their skills by understanding and learning about what makes a good photograph, from composition to artistic expression. In addition, members of this club will learn how to use state of the art software to edit and enhance photographic images for their own use, as well as for publication. Students are encouraged to practice their skills while photographing college related activities and sporting events. All levels of experience are welcome and encouraged to explore this exciting side of the visual arts.
