To develop social work knowledge and skills, and to help students cultivate a positive identification with social work values and the ethics of the social work profession are the aims of this Programme. The professional education in social work equip the students to confidently engage in the practices of counseling, group work, and community work, research, policy formulation and analysis, advocacy and social & political interventions.

Eligibility for Admissions
Candidates for admission to the first semester of the MSW programme shall be required to have passed any Degree Examination with a minimum of 50% marks of Mahatma Gandhi University as specified or any other examination of any recognized University or authority accepted by the Academic Council of Mahatma Gandhi University as equivalent thereto.
Certificate Programmes:The Department provides various certificate programmes and trainings to students with the aim of their academic and professional development. At the end of course each batch is passing out with a number of certificates on following which will facilitate their placement too.
