Established in the year 2002 as B.Sc. Physics EEM (Electronic Equipment Maintenance) Model III. Later in 2016, course changed to Model II B.Sc. Physics with Applied Electronics. The Department caters the academic needs of Physics as well as Electronics aspiring young students. Currently there are 5 permanent faculty members headed by Ms. Deepthi S. Nair. The department has two well equipped laboratories, one among which is exclusively dedicated for electronics experiments. In addition to the main college library a well established departmental library with 600+ books, is functioning in the department catering to the needs of students & faculties. The department also offers a one year Diploma course in Computer hardware & Networking under NSQF (National Skill Qualification Framework) for the undergraduate students to achieve additional skills to further upgrade their competencies. The department ensures energy conservation through the best practices programme E-SMART for sensitizing our students to the importance of energy conservation. As a part of curriculum, the department conducts an industrial visit in each year to various organizations like ISRO, All India Radio, Doordarshan, KSEB, etc.

The vision of the department is to spread the knowledge and to educate students in Physics & Electronics that will serve the nation and the world.
