Activities

For the conservation of energy and preservation of the resources for longer use, Energy Conservation and Awareness Programmes are conducted by the department under the name ESMART. As part of it department organized a

Workshop on LED Bulb assembling and Energy Conservation.

Mr. Anishkumar P.S ,faculty of the department coordinated the programmes at 1) Alphonsa College Pala on 18 December 2018 around 60 students were participated. 2) K.E. College Mannanam on 4^th  and 12^th   February 2019  around  35 students  participated . 3) St: Sebastians Chruch, Mannackanadu in connection with URJAKIRAN 2018-19 program, conducted by Devamatha College, Kuravilangad on 18 March 2019, around 60 peoples participated .

SURVEY AND AWARENESS PROGRAMME

Department conducted an energy conservation survey among the houses in the neighbourhood and gave them awareness regarding the importance of energy conservation and the various methods they could adopt. This program was conducted by the faculty members and students of Electronics Department on 20th and 21st November 2019. The department visited around 20 schools and made them aware of how to reduce the electricity bill and save energy on the month of February 2021. In connection with the national science day, the department also an online Science Quiz competition (28^th February 2021) for school students. Around 200 students from various schools participated and the winners were awarded.

Department of Electronics celebrated International Ozone Day on September 17^th and 18^th 2018 to prompt young minds and public to start contributing this bit in nurturning and protecting Mother Earth. On September 17^th department conducted poster designing competition for college students. Many of them were participated and selected posters were published.

An elocution competition was conducted on 24^th July 2019 regarding the remembrance day of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam (July 27 2015). The programme was held at the college auditorium on the topic “APJ Abdul Kalam, the role model for science aspirants”. On 26^th July 2019 as our humble tribute to the “THE MISSILE MAN” Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam a small gathering was conducted by our department. 

The Department of Physics with Applied Electronics and IQAC, K E College, Mannanam conducted the webinar on 27th July 2020. The eminent speaker was Prof. Dr. Blesson Mathew, Assistant Professor, Christ University, Bengaluru.

The Department in collaboration with ED club and under the aegis of IQAC, KE College, Mannanam conducted the webinar on 22nd September 2020. The eminent speaker was Adv. Abhilash Thomas, Chief Executive Officer, Indusviva Health Science Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru.
