Chavara fest celebrated in our college on 7^th January 2020. There was active participation of the chemistry department in the rally as well as the competitions held in the afternoon sessions.

Students of Research and Post Graduate department of Chemistry organized an exhibition ‘CHEM EXPO’ on 22^nd& 23^rd of January 2019which enabled them to explore the exciting world of Chemistry.About 20 exciting experiments were demonstrated by the students of Chemistry department. Students from St. Ephrems School Mannanam visited the Expo. Water analysis and blood group detections were also done by the students in connection with the fest. A food festival ‘Food Fest’ was also hosted by the students during the occasion

Our department took its initial steps in 1967 and last  year she celebrates her Golden Jubilee.  And this Golden Jubilee Celebrations would be carved in the history of K. E. College.   It was really a celebration of knowledge.  Let us recall those golden moments that we witnessed right from the beginning.  We started our journey by celebrating Merit Day on 15th of June.  We had a wonderful inaugural session during which it was officially revealed that Chemistry department is celebrating her 50^Th Birthday this year.  The function was graced by the participation of our beloved retired teachers.

As part of golden jubilee celebration, a golden Alumni meet was arranged on 27^th December. More than four hundred Alumni members participated in it. Prof Dr. V. N Rajasekharan Pilla, President of Mewar University, Chattisgarh, inaugurated this ceremony and delivered inaugural address. Golden Jubilee  Souvenir was released by Prof. Dr. Sabu Thomas, Pro- Vice Chancellor, MG University. As a part of celebrations Honoring of former teachers and First batch students, various cultural programmes and blessing of renovated PG lab were held on 27^th December 2017.
